About Me

I wrote my way through elementary school recesses and teenage rebellion until I found myself creative directing at Apple, Google, and Meta.

Growing up in Silicon Valley, I was exposed to technology like other kids learned about sports or cars. My dad talked about submarine cables connecting continents and had an embarrassing laptop the size of a suitcase.

Years later I went to Cuba to research a story with one of the preeminent submarine cable experts in the world. We visited the American Diplomat there and discussed the effects of a country cut off from technology. I watched teenagers buy calling cards at public parks, then disappear into internet cafes to dial into the slowest internet connection I had ever experienced. In my pocket was my phone with photos taken from a taxi window and a book I had downloaded to read on the plane.

My career as a Creative Director has shown me that no matter how quickly technology evolves, the world will always need storytellers. People who can make sense of things in a way that doesn't scare people but inspires them. The tension between technology and humanity is the creative space I comfortably live in. I've created mythologies about iconic brands that live on and are retold. I don't take that responsibility lightly, but I do prefer to have fun while doing it.

Outside of work, I founded Hot Fruit, a social club for new friendships.
